We offer a remote desktop support service for certain common problems where an onsite visit is not necessary. Our remote support service allows one of our support specialists to connect to your computer via the internet to solve the problems you are having. Please note that this is NOT a free service. Charges will apply unless special arrangements have been made with Ren I.T.
Security- Our remote support service uses RC4 encryption which provides a secured connection between your PC and the Ren I.T. support technician.
- The Ren I.T. remote support program does not install any perminate files or services on your PC. The software is only present on your PC while you are receiving remote support. Once your remote support session is completed the software automatically removes itself and leaves no traces on your PC.
PrivacyAny information exchanged between the customer and Ren I.T. during remote support will only be used for support and customer records purposes. The customer is still able to see everything that the Ren I.T. support technician is doing while providing remote support, and the customer may terminate the remote connection at any time. Terms & Conditions- This service is not free. Charges will apply unless special arrangements have been made with Ren I.T. The current charge for this service is $25.00 which includes up to 30 minutes of remote desktop and phone support. Any subsequent support time required is charge at $12.50 per 15 minute block or part thereof.
- You must contact us by phone first to obtain a remote support booking before we can provide you with remote support. All unauthorised remote connections are automatically refused by our server.
- You must ensure you meet the system requirements below.
System RequirementsYou must have: - A working broadband internet connection (eg. ADSL, Cable, or Next G Wireless).
- Windows XP (Service Pack 2 or later) or Windows Vista operating system.
- A remote support booking which you can obtain by contacting us (you must obtain a remote support ticket each time you require remote support).
